What cookies are

Cookies, local storage and similar technologies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. We use them to operate the site, keep you signed in, remember your answers as you build a plan, and to measure how the site is used. Analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time using the controls below or the footer link; functional and advertising cookies stay off unless you turn them on.

Categories we use

• Strictly necessary (always on): Needed to sign in, keep your session secure, remember your consent choices and store your in-progress answers on this device. These cannot be switched off.
• Functional: Remembers preferences such as your selected state, wizard progress and document display options so you do not have to re-enter them.
• Analytics: Helps us understand which pages and wizard steps are used or abandoned so we can improve them. Aggregated and never used to build advertising profiles. On by default; turn it off here at any time, and a Global Privacy Control signal keeps it off.
• Targeted advertising / sale or sharing: Would allow advertising or marketing partners to receive identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising. Off unless you turn it on; a Global Privacy Control signal keeps it off.

Cookies and storage we set

We do not currently place advertising cookies. If that changes, the advertising category will remain off until you opt in, and this notice will be updated before any such cookie is set.

No sale or sharing; Global Privacy Control

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service you requested. We honor opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track, as a valid request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for this browser.

Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island — you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, or limit the use of your personal information, to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and certain profiling, and to appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
